2017 brings a wonderful holdover from 2016, which is the awe-inspiring Guillermo del Toro exhibit "At Home With Monsters" which showcases the best of the best of Mr. del Toro's selection of art and genre' artifacts and ephemera from his extensive collection at his legendary "Bleak House".
Having been a privileged guest at Bleak House in 2013, it was my absolute honor that Mr. del Toro graciously included several of my pieces in this exhibit, ranging from the life size bronze busts of Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft to some smaller Lovecraft sculptures. Indeed, Mr. del Toro was my first patron over a decade ago and included that signed Lovecraft sculpture as part of the exhibit much to my pleasant surprise as I hadn't seen it in years.
The exhibit began it's tour at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art from July 31 to November 27, 2016 in the prestigious Art of the Americas Building.
The second leg of the tour will be at the Minneapolis Institute of Art from March 5, 2017 to May 28, 2017 and finally completing it's journey at the Art Gallery of Ontario from September 30, 2017 to January 7, 2018.
It is an absolute honor to be included in this landmark exhibit with so many other wonderful artists that I greatly admire and respect as well as being extraordinarily appreciative of Mr. del Toro's kind patronage for many years now.
My project partner Dacre Stoker of the Bram Stoker Estate made this great video while on his travels to Romania to help get the necessary funds to complete the Bram Stoker Bronze Bust Project.
We can sure use your help in the last leg of our efforts to pay for the bronze foundry costs to bring Bram home. Enjoy!
